Natural Curls by Twisting your Hair

Twist-up curls, no need for the curling iron.
This is a technique that will give your hair a natural, wavy, beachy curl look.

Step 1.  Wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and conditioner.
Step 2.  Apply a leave in conditioner and brush your hair.
Step 3.  Towel dry your hair.
Step 3.  Apply a SMALL amount of light styling cream from hair root to ends.
Step 3.  Blow-dry your hair to the point it is almost dry, but still a little moist.  Try to give your hair body while blow-drying it by taking sections with a round brush, elevating and brushing your hair upwards.
Step 4.  Clip most of your hair up leaving a section at the bottom, neck area, about three inches from hair line.
Step 5.  Starting at the bottom section, begin taking chunks of your hair and twirling them, twirl them just like a twisted cinnabun or pretzel (the tighter you twirl, the more waves / curls you will get).  Secure each twirl loosely with a bobby pin.
Step 6.  Twirl hair making sections, working your way up to the top of your head.
Step 7.  Now you are near the front / top hair area, make sure the pieces you twirl are directed in the direction you want your hair to fall, especially if you have short hair, if you have long hair this shouldn’t matter as much and the hair will fall naturally, if you have bangs, don’t twirl them.  You can part hair if desired, or you can just do the twirls in a row, parting horizontal on the top of your head.
Step 8.  Let your hair (twirls) dry naturally, since your hair is already almost dry, this shouldn’t take long.  Do your make-up while you wait.  If you’re pushed for time let your hair- dryer do the work, set it at a very low speed and hold it to your hair, don’t let the bobby pins come out.
Step 9.  Take out the bobby pins.  Don’t brush your hair, tassel through your hair with your finger tips.
Step 10.  Apply a light hair spray if desired.
Your hair is done!
